About Me

About Me

Curiosity is probably my most distinctive quality. With my work as a psychotherapist I can pursue my curiosity about the inner processes of a person. I am fascinated by the possible personal developments over the course of a lifetime and I am fulfilled by initiating and accompanying those. In doing so, I always pursue one goal: To facilitate a more authentic, fulfilling life and to encourage the pursuit of goals and dreams.

I see my work similar to that of a detective: You come with an assignment and we follow the trail of the problem to analyze it and, with resources gathered and strengthened, develop and implement solutions. My many years of therapy experience and my diverse further training made me aware of the importance of emotions and resources. Therefore, the deepened perception and understanding of one's own emotions as well as the strengthening of resources are the main component of my treatment. The treatment methods are scientifically based and their effectiveness empirically proven. I offer a safe space without any taboo topics to discuss life and our participation in it in a benevolent, analytical, humorous manner.

I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 10 years in different settings and gained experience in coaching, couple counseling, treating anxiety, burn-out, depression, ADHD, traumatic experiences, dealing with relationship conflicts or longer-term dysfunctional relationship patterns, dealing with unfulfilled childbearing, child loss and postpartum depression, difficulties as living as an expat and more.

On a personal level, I satisfy my curiosity with travel, adventure and the underwater world. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to visiting foreign countries: Learning about new cultures, climbing volcanoes, eating exotic fruits and everything else that goes with it. 7 years ago, I discovered scuba diving and fell in love with it. I completed my training as a diving instructor. The underwater world offers me the exploration of a new world and a balance in working with people. As a diving instructor, I get to show this new world to others and pass on my passion. I have lived and worked in Mexico and Thailand for the past years. I’m married and I have my base in Lucerne, Switzerland,  where I offer online- and face to face- treatments in my own practice (Psychotherapeutische Praxis Mittendrin). I usually spend several months of the year abroad, during which time I can only offer online treatments.
